Day 6 Wandering

La Bastille monument and the National Opera House behind it

Our best meal in Paris- hands down.
Thank you Rick Steves for the recommendation!

Notre Dame, view from the back.  Beautiful!
the side view

Beautiful street lamps everywhere

Clock on one of the Concierge towers.
It's mechanism is from the 1300's and works perfectly.

Book sellers (bouquinistes) along the Left Bank of the Seine River, reselling used books and souvenirs. Around since the 1500's.

Shakespeare and Company Bookstore
Some who frequented it:
Ernest Hemingway, James Joyce, Gertrude Stein, Bernard Shaw...

There was a line to enter the bookstore- and no photos were allowed!

A beautiful water fountain to refill your water bottle

The Latin Quarter along Rue St. Séverin

As we walk towards Boulevard St. Michel...
Chez Clement Restaurant
LOVED the hanging sculpture!

Another restaurant- Mexican in Paris, El Chuncho.
